Waste Management and Circular Economy

Sector: PV (Photovoltaic)
Question.: Research on consumption reduction and recovery processes in high water consumption PV cell manufacturing processes such as TOPCon and HJT
Solution: The water vapor produced in the degassing processes can be condensed in the scrubber to produce pure water. Likewise, high purity baths prepared for cell production can be reused in the ingot and wafer production stages before being sent for purification.
Benefit: Gelişmiş scrubber teknolojisi kullanılarak saf su ihtiyacının %5'inin karşılanması hedeflenirken, aynı zamanda kademeli kullanım yöntemiyle toplam atık su miktarının yaklaşık %20 oranında azaltılabileceği öngörülmektedir. Proje mühendislik çalışmaları devam etmektedir.

Innovation and Digital Transformation

Sector: Automotive
Question.: Can it be possible to increase the quality level and reduce costs when renewing equipment that has reached the end of its economic life?
Solution: The company analyzed its production processes and identified cost burdens on the final product. Batch production and walking union production was selected as a pilot project and following benchmark and R&D studies, equipment types and process methods were changed. A welding jointing process was developed instead of press fitting, enabling the use of low-cost materials. The new CNCs were supported by robot automation, a specially designed conveyor system and test equipment.
Benefit: Firmanın ürün portföyündeki rakorların yaklaşık %60'ı, yeni üretim hattında sürekli üretim prosesiyle üretilebilir hale geldi. Rakor üretim hızı önceki proseslere göre %47 artış gösterdi ve birim maliyetlerin ortalama %38 oranında azalmasını sağladı. Eklenen test istasyonları sayesinde, önceki proses akışında yapılan tüm kontroller %100 kontrol edilir hale geldi ve NOK ürünlerin otomatik ayrılması sağlandı. Ayrıca, ölçüm sapmaları ve makine parametre trendleri incelenerek uç değişim zamanlamaları, ön arıza tespiti vb. ihtiyaçlar için makine öğrenme çalışmaları devam ediyor.

Sector: Solar Power Plant Operation
Question.: The impact of pollution on energy production in SPPs and how to ensure the efficiency of cleaning practices?
Solution: Contamination on solar panels is an important factor affecting the amount of energy produced and the lifetime of the panels. However, the consumption of energy and labor as well as water makes it imperative to determine the optimal time and method for cleaning. In our ongoing project, we aim to solve this problem by measuring and quantifying the pollution on the solar panel and digitizing the cleaning management.
Benefit: Reduction of field maintenance costs, preservation of panel lifetime, reduction of resource consumption, improvement of the average total energy produced

Gender Equality Projects

Question.: How to ensure alignment with the policies set by senior management at all levels of the organization? How can lasting awareness and transformation of work habits be achieved?
Solution: Micro projects were designed to be implemented quickly so that the commitment to transformation could be felt at all organizational levels. Each of these projects was realized by project volunteer company employees. Volunteer internal trainers were trained and the need for continuous training support for the projects was met.
